Methods: experimental site located on dystrophic Haplic Cambisol. progeny test designed as a randomised complete block with 30 replicates single plot. treatments corresponded one massoniana, three caribaea var. bahamensis 33 hondurensis arranged 3x3 m spacing. traits height (H), diameter at breast (DBH) crown projection area (CPA) were measured 36 months age. Results: results showed that heritability narrow sense 0.24 DBH, 0.27 H 0.50 CPA. DBH high-magnitude positive correlation. P7, P15, P27, P31 P33 better performance than other evaluated traits. Direct indirect similar gains, which favors use selection; i.e., when selecting are also selected. Additionally, may be used advanced ages given difficulty measuring height. compared massoniana MG. Conclusions: This suggests possibility expanding production Lavras P33, because initial assessments they greater adaptability conditions. Nevertheless, performing future aim evaluating resin is recommended.
